Appointment of Natalie Demol as President of Qadran, the Franco-Qatari economic circle

Paris, November 9th, 2023 - The founding members of Qadran gathered on November 9th 2023 and unanimously approved the appointment of Natalie Demol, Legal Director for Europe and Americas at Katara Hospitality, as Qadran’s new president, with immediate effect.
She succeeds Kamal Rhazali, Secretary-General and Legal Director of the Luxury & Lifestyle Division at Accor Group, and Bruno Courtine, Partner at Vaughan Avocats, who co-chaired Qadran since the beginning of 2023.

As the Legal Director for Europe and Americas at Katara Hospitality and a founding member of Qadran, Natalie Demol was already actively involved in the activities of the Franco-Qatari economic circle. Drawing upon her experience in the Middle East and international law firms, she is attuned to the development challenges of Qatar. Leveraging her keen understanding of cultural diversity and expertise in the luxury international hospitality sector, Natalie Demol wishes to further engage and contribute to the strengthening of ties between the economic decision-makers of both countries, under the leadership of His Excellency Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to France.

"I am extremely honored by this appointment and would like to express my gratitude to the Founding Members for their trust. I will actively pursue the ambitious roadmap laid out by my predecessors, whose dedication and vision have significantly contributed to the association's trajectory in recent years. 2024 marks a pivotal year for Qadran as the association approaches its 10th anniversary. I am committed to bringing a fresh impetus, with the strong support of our Founding Members, to keep fostering dialogue and partnerships between the French and Qatari business communities. The potential is subtancial, and Qadran's mission is to amplify it.

One of our priorities is the continued diversification of the bilateral relationship, especially in sectors with ESG impact, including renewable energies, agri-food, biotech, tourism, art and culture, all of them being at the heart of Qatar's development ambitions."
